Turf
27 JUN 2025
What a week we've had! Between the extreme heat and unexpected problems with our irrigation system, it's been quite a challenge to keep the Le Maitre course in acceptable condition.
Despite a faulty control system and new leaks along the way, our team never gave up. Day after day, under an oppressive sun, our employees worked tirelessly to repair breakages, manually adjust the watering system and ensure that our hard-pressed turf could survive. Let's face it: this week was a veritable turf survival operation.
We would like to highlight the exceptional dedication of our maintenance team, who went to great lengths to ensure that the turf remained playable despite the extreme conditions. Thanks to their hard work, we avoided the worst, and the situation is now more or less back to normal.
Thank you for your understanding and patience. We remain committed to ensuring that your golfing experience is the best it can be, even in the most demanding times.
At the same time, we've finished airing the greens on La Bête, and this time, the temperature worked in our favor! Conditions were ideal for this important operation, which helps keep our greens healthy in the long term.
We don't plan to do any more removal aeration. Over the next few weeks, we'll be carrying out lighter operations with full tines. This will enable us to better manage the stress caused by heat and trampling, while maintaining optimal playability.
These efforts are part of our proactive site management plan, to ensure that our greens live up to your expectations, even at the height of the summer season.
