Matchplays

Notice to all members registered in matchplay competitions: the deadline for the first round of matches is June 30!

For your information, if a match is tied after 18 holes, you play a 3-hole handicap match (holes 1,2,3) to determine the winner, (except in the men's gross category). You must see the starter to find out when the 1st tee will be available for the playoff.

Always be aware of your pace of play during a matchplay, as there's no reason why a match should take longer than a friendly game between friends.

Clocks on the course

I hope you've noticed the clock on the tee of hole 5 and the one on the tee of hole 13?

They are there to help you manage your pace of play. Simply note your tee time at #1 and when you arrive at the tee of 5, the clock will indicate your tee time if you're playing at a 4:15 minute pace. If the clock indicates 5 minutes later than your start time, we expect your group to speed up play. If the clock reads a few minutes less than your start time, that's fantastic - keep up the pace!

Thank you for your cooperation

Storm procedure

After a few days of thunderstorms, the frequency of these events will continue to have an impact on play throughout the season, and we ask you to be wary of these conditions.

We always try to be as cautious as possible, but we don't want everyone to leave the course at the first sight of grey clouds. We use our best judgement and rely on publicly available weather information to determine whether a storm will hit or approach our courses before deciding to sound the horn. If we ask golfers to leave the course, play will not resume until the storm has passed and there are no other threatening weather conditions in the vicinity of the course.

Please note that if you feel unsafe or wish to be more cautious when this type of weather is present in our area, you do not need to wait for our signal to leave the golf course. Your position on the course and whether you are on foot or in a cart should certainly be taken into account and could have a different impact on your decision than other groups. Once at the clubhouse, please inform the golf shop of your arrival and let us know if you wish to continue playing when the weather clears.

See storm information as written on our scorecards and website :

When lightning is forecast, or when you hear a long warning sound indicating the possibility of lightning, please seek shelter immediately at the clubhouse, in other buildings around the course, or in a car. If none of these are available, look for dense woods and depressions in the terrain. Avoid open spaces, water, metal, wire fences, power lines and other overhead wires, isolated trees, high ground, maintenance machinery and buggies. Opening an umbrella increases the risk when lightning approaches. Three short audible warnings indicate that it's safe to return to the course. The golf shop will do its utmost to warn you in the event of lightning. However, ClubLink is not responsible for the removal of Members and guests from the course.
