Maintenance Work on the Courses
Here is a summary of the work completed this week, as well as an overview of upcoming
work.
Aeration of the Greens
We have completed the aeration of the greens on both golf courses. There will be no
further core aeration until the end of the season. Only
solid-tine aeration will be performed over the summer, a practice that
has virtually no impact on the quality of the surfaces.
Le Maître
White grubs have begun to burrow deeper into the soil, and damages caused by these
pests are becoming increasingly rare. The soil and seeds applied to the
damaged areas are already beginning to germinate and repair the damaged surfaces.
In addition, turf sod will continue to be laid in various locations to
improve the overall quality of the course.

La Bête
Work on the 9th hole regarding irrigation and repairs to the base of the
golf cart path is now complete. Next week, paving of this section will be completed, and sod will also be laid.
We are beginning to get on top of the numerous projects that have been underway since the start of the season and are pleased that these are now near their conclusion.
Waterfall
As I know that you have all noticed, the Maître Waterfall has not been operational since the start of the season. It operated for only two days before a malfunction required its removal and preventive inspection.
The pump was removed from the pond in late May and has now been at our local pump contractor’s workshop these past few weeks getting inspected and repaired. We continue to check in with them multiple times per week for updates and based on their latest feedback we expect it to be back in operation shortly.
Upcoming Work
- Fertilizing the fairways;
- Improving the approaches (aeration, seeding, and topdressing);
- Laying sod.
