Turf

08 MAY 2026

We would like to provide you with an update on the current condition of our courses and the work currently underway to ensure optimal playing conditions for the upcoming season.

Despite a relatively mild winter, we are still dealing with some of the usual consequences of the cold season. Our grounds crew is actively working to address the various issues that have been identified.

Seeds have already been applied to areas affected by disease as well as to surfaces damaged by field mice. This step is essential to promote rapid and uniform turf recovery.

On the greens and tees, fertilizer has also been applied to accelerate regrowth. Tees with lower density have been overseeded with bentgrass to improve their quality and resilience.

To optimize spring recovery, we will also use permeable tarps in certain strategic areas. These will help raise soil temperature and accelerate turf growth. If Mother Nature becomes more capricious, we will not hesitate to intervene to speed up recovery.

We are also continuing our water management efforts, notably by pumping excess water off the course to improve playing conditions. We hope this will result in drier surfaces, particularly at the 16th hole on the Maître course.

To add to our to-do list, the bridge at hole 12, which shifted significantly due to the flood, had to be repositioned, reinforced, and refurbished.

On the La Bête course, repair work is underway on the sand traps at the green of hole 4. The rising river water made its way over this trap and washed it away.

There is still a lot of opening day work to be done on both courses, but we are happy to be able to count on two competent and dedicated field teams. I thank them for their excellent work.

About White Grubs

Regarding the white grub problem, sod will be laid during the coming weeks in the most affected areas. Although we are not immune to further damage, we will have the necessary tools and resources to carry out the appropriate treatments and effectively control the situation observed last year.

We thank you for your understanding and trust. The entire team is committed to providing constant improvements and 2 quality courses throughout the season.
