  • Handicap Committee:

Here are a few points to note for your rounds of golf at the club this season:

Sand Traps:

When your ball is in a sand trap, you may lift the ball, rake the sand, and replace your ball within 12 inches of its original spot without moving closer to the hole, without penalty. Please rake the sand after your shot out of respect for all golfers. This rule may be reevaluated during the season.

Play from the tees:

When playing a shot from the tee, you may still improve the position of your ball by moving it up to 12 inches (the length of a scorecard) without moving closer to the hole.

Areas Damaged by Crows: If your ball rests on or your feet are on an area damaged by crows, anywhere on the course, take relief without penalty by finding the nearest point without moving closer to the hole.
