A word from the Handicap Committee President
Since 2024, the World Handicap System has made revisions and allows us to post our score as soon as we have completed 9 holes.
To enter a score of 10 to 17 holes, you need to publish our score in Golf Canada with the hole-by-hole format.
If you complete 9 or 18 holes, you can still enter your score in the total format in 9-hole or 18-hole format, or you can do so in the hole-by-hole format.
Beginning in 2024, when a player with a Handicap Index plays 10-17 holes, a Score Differential will be created based on the holes played. For the remaining holes not played, the player’s expected Score Differential will be added to that value to produce an 18-hole Score Differential.
To facilitate this change, when a player plays between 10-17 holes, they will be required to post their scores hole-by-hole so the appropriate Score Differential can be calculated from the holes that were played to combine with the expected score for the holes not played.
For holes not played, you must enter zero (0) on those specific holes, and the calculation will be made automatically.
The handicap committee encourages its member to always enter their score individual format (hole by hole) but it remains your responsibility to enter your score properly.
