03 MAY 2024
Dear Members,
We are thrilled to welcome all of our members back, and look forward to welcoming our new Members as we kick off our 2024 season. As we prepare to open for our 24th season at Le Maître Golf Club and celebrate the 25th anniversary of La Bête here are a few key updates and reminders:
Membership Update
We want to extend a warm welcome to our new and returning Members, as well as those who have transferred from surrounding Clubs during the off-season.
We have a very healthy and active membership group at Le Maître / La Bête, which sets us up well again in 2024 to have a thriving Club atmosphere, and active event participation. We will continue to accept limited amounts of new Members at our club as we replace outgoing members and as we closely monitor usage, tee time availability at both courses.
Tee Time Access & Booking
For opening week, given the colder overnight temperatures still, our first tee time during the week will be 8am, and 7h30am on the weekend. Our plan is to move the tee times earlier beginning in June but will reassess weekly and provide additional communication.
Like prior years, Le Maître, and La Bête, and all our ClubLink clubs have home club restrictions based on peak play patterns by home club members at their club. These home club restrictions are in place to allow home club members the first opportunity to book during peak times, and we continue to monitor play patterns daily during the season to adjust home club restrictions if necessary. If there are open times, or last-minute cancellations, this might result in non-home club members obtaining a peak time, unless we have members on a waiting list for tee times, in which case we would call them to book a time if we had a cancellation first.
And in order to maximize access for home club members we do also have 2 heightened restriction levels at Le Maître added to the regular home club times depending on tee time demand:
- Home Club Member Only (no guest / no associate member) = Friday 12h00pm to 2h30pm; Saturday and Sunday (and holidays) 8h00am to 11h00am
- Home club member and one guest or associate member (1:1) = Saturday and Sunday open to 8h00am ; Saturday and Sunday 11h00am to 1h00pm
Note that home club member restricted times are also reserved at La Bête for our La Bête and Le Maître members as we notice more home club members benefiting from the dual club access.
TEI tee time booking system
For the TEI online booking system, some helpful tips and new additions that were added from our previous system are:
- Please remember to update your tee times by adding all Member names prior to searching for your tee time to ensure the best results. For example, if we have a restriction where 50% of the members in the tee time must be home club, if looking for a foursome, that tee time won’t show up to you if you don’t have a 2nd home club member booked in with you.
- Did you know: You can search for a tee time (better time or different course) even if you already have a time booked. For example, if you booked Le Maître at 2 pm but wanted to move over to La Bête instead, you can continue to search for a La Bête tee time inside the 5-day booking window to improve or change your tee time.
- Did you know: To help expedite the booking process, you can add members to your favorite list, and create regular groups for your bookings. This will help save time instead of entering names individually all the time, to help confirm your tee times quicker.
If you are struggling with a desired tee time online, please remember you have options to call LinkLine at 1-800-273-5113 or call our Golf Shop directly. If we have a full tee sheet for that day please ask to be added to our waitlist and as mentioned above, if we have cancellations, which is often the case, we will be happy to contact you to provide you with the opportunity to take that time before releasing. This has proven to be a successful tool in helping Members when there is a cancellation. Golf Shop Direct Line 819-425-8888, ext 233 (Le Maitre golf shop) ext 243 (La Bête golf shop).
Because we expect the same high demand for tee times again this season, if members have a time booked, and do not show or call to cancel their tee time, a fee will be applied to the booker's account. We always understand things come up or there are changes in schedule, but all we ask is that members cancel their tee times, that way other members have the opportunity to book times that otherwise were not available. This is consistent at all our clubs, so the same policy can help when you are enjoying our other clubs as well.
On that note, and admittedly a little wordy, I wish everyone a fantastic season and I look forward to crossing paths and receiving your feedback at the clubs.
