ClubLink Interclub Results

Last Tuesday, August 19, the second round of the ClubLink interclub competition took place at Rosemere/Fontainebleau golf club.

The men's team (Mike Robertson-Pierre Dorion, Jean-Jacques Gagné-Sylvain Pilon, Michel Sicotte-Marc-André Girard) performed well, finishing second for the day against the six other clubs in the Ottawa/Montreal region, placing them at the top of the overall standings after two rounds!

The next step is the grand final in Toronto on October 6 and 7, against all ClubLink clubs.

For the women, the team of Chantal Gendron-Diane Gauthier and Sylvie Provencale-Julie Lessard finished the day in sixth place, placing them fifth overall ahead of the finals in Toronto on October 1 and 2.

Good luck to both our teams!!

Le Maître Local Rules Update

Sand Traps

You may now lift your ball, rake the area where it lay, and replace your ball as close as possible to its original spot.

You no longer have a 12-inch preferred position.

The purpose of raking is to create a normal playing condition to hit your shot (not to build a mound on which to place the ball).

Be aware of your pace of play.

#11 Drop Zone

There is now a drop zone for men, to the left of the bridge, approximately 30 yards before the old drop zone (now reserved for women).

The drop zone is in play for a ball hit into the penalty area to the left of the fairway, or into the marsh short and to the right of the fairway.
