National Golf League
The weekend before the Canadian Open saw the grand finale of the Ligue Nationale de Golf. We had 4 members who had qualified for the event at the provincial final held at Le Maître last October, Chantal Gendron and her partner Sylvie Desroches, as well as Andrew Harvie and Roger Lavictoire. They enjoyed their round on the magnificent Canadian Open course!
Driving range opening hours
Wednesday: Le Maître closes at 5:30 p.m. (for grass-cutting)

Handicap committee
The handicap committee of Le Maître would like to introduce itself to the Le Maître members and wish you a fantastic golf season.
We are here to serve the members and every week we will give you a reminder on the rules of golf through the handicapping process and how to apply these rules. For our first notification, are simply explaining our purpose and governance.
The Handicap Committee plays a vital role in the successful administration of a player’s Handicap Index and is equipped with tools to intervene when the calculated Handicap Index is no longer reflective of the player’s demonstrated ability. Used appropriately, these tools are designed to ensure that players are treated fairly and consistently from golf club to golf club. The Committee in charge of the competition also plays an important role in setting appropriate Terms of the Competition for all participating players.
The Handicap Committee is the entity established by a golf club or an Authorized Association which is responsible for ensuring compliance with the obligations of the golf club or Authorized Association under the Rules of Handicapping.
Why does Le Maître need a handicap committee? Per Golf Canada Member Club Handicap License Agreement, to issue Handicap Indexes to its members, a club must have a Handicap Committee.
